Since this is a Quartet style book series and since I read them all one after the other, I decided to do a review of them together. Even though each book can stand out from the rest of the series, I thought it would be nice to compare and contrast each of them and then discuss my opinions of the series as a whole.

As you can see by the grades, my favorites were the first and last books in the series. The first book basically set the mood and style for how the rest of the series would go and after reading this book and meeting all the characters, it was clear to see who would end up with who in the end. In Vision in White, Mac is definitely a character I love, and one that many people can relate to. She has a crazy mother, a scared past, and a fear for true love. I especially adore her love interest, Carter, a sweet guy who is smitten with Mac right from the start. I love how their story unfolds and how they overcome quite a few obstacles, learning about each other and love, and deciding if they really do belong together. The changes you see in Mac are definitely more noticeable than any of the others throughout the series, which was another reason why I liked this book so much. Also, throughout the series, Nora Roberts definitely knows how to tease you with very tasteful and romantic, yet HOT, love scenes that had me eagerly tearing through each book for those sexy moments.

Bed of Roses and Savor the Moment were good books too, not the best in the series, in my opinion, but I did adore each character individually. Each of their takes on love and life were so refreshing and unique and I loved their friendship and business. They each had an essential role to play and they did it well. I did enjoy how Emma and Jack’s relationship unfolded, as my image of Jack was of a very handsome and dreamy man that any girl would want to snatch up. I would have to say that their passionate moments were the steamiest of all the characters and even the playful, teasing moments were so sweet and funny that I couldn’t help but love them. Laurel and Del’s relationship was nice too, nothing really that interesting in this book, or anything that pops out to me. It is a good read and I have to admit I highly enjoyed the ending, but otherwise, it was just another addition to the series.

In the last book, Happy Ever After, it was a great bookend to the series and I loved the way it ended. You get an amazing, heartfelt wedding and Parker’s story unfolds. She was actually my favorite character, as I related to her the most. Very organized, proper, efficient and one who loved and supported her friends like no other. In this book, it’s very cute to see how she falls for Malcolm, a guy she never thought she’d go for, even if it was a bit predictable. I love Malcolm’s aggressiveness and his ability to sweep Parker off her feet. Even their first encounter was a cute one and I loved all his nicknames for her. He is a nice, sweet, and successful man, with a troubled past that you discover through this book and see how he and Parker deal with it all. What I also loved was, throughout the whole series, and especially in the end, you see just how much these women love each other and the power of love and friendship. It makes you cherish the relationships you have.

All in all, the series did not disappoint, as most of Nora Roberts’ books don’t. If you’re a hopeless romantic and love a good read about friendship and the joys and pains of life, then you definitely want to grab these books.
