My mom just told me the funniest and sweetest story about my two little girls:
So, last night everyone was taking turns holding BG2 trying to calm her and put her to sleep, so she was basically all over the house. Eventually, BG1 comes around and asks my mom where the baby is and my mom jokingly replies, “I threw her in the trash.”
So, being onli 6 years old, she proceeded to go to each and every one of the trash cans around the house and check to see if her little sister was in there! She eventually came back to my mom and said, “I don’t see her in any of the trash cans” to which my mom replied, “I threw her in the big trash can outside on the lawn so the trash men can come and get her.”
Well, she defiantly stated that, “You know you’re not allowed to do that because there’s nothing on the trash cans that says you can put a baby in there!” (6yo logic can’t be argued with)
Of course, everyone had a laugh after that whole ordeal and my mom told BG1 that the baby was sleeping upstairs with her uncle. When she told me this I just cracked up and thought it was the cutest thing!
Good to know my BG1 is such a great big sister, always looking out for the baby and making sure NO ONE throws her in the trash. You’re making Mommy proud!
Side Note: My family also tells me that she sings the “ABCs” to BG2 all the time (The Hubbi got it on video a couple times too) which I think is adorable and so sweet. So happi to see my girls getting along!

OH My this is hilarious!
That is such a sweet story! I reminds me of a time when my nephews were babies. I was holding my 6mo old nephew and telling him that he was so sweet I was going to eat him my. My 3 year old nephew jumped up from across the room and loudly said, "Hey, you can't eat my brother!". It's so sweet to see kids sticking up for their younger siblings.
That’s hilarious! I love it!

LOL we say stuff like that to our children all the time. They’re onto us now, and no longer believe everything we say at face value.

Haha, yea after that she no longer believes we’d do that to her sister. She knows we joke too much.
Such a sweet story! What a great big sister.

I love the things kids say. I recommend them all the time of my blog to share with others, but mostly so I can look back and remember all those funny things.

Obviously the issue was the trash can; you need to find one where babies are allowed, and on which it is stated in plain print outside of the trash can that babies are allowed. I mean, duh, right?
Little kids are so adorable, aren’t they?
