So last Saturday I had the opportunity to attend the GapKids Shine On Saturday event down in Center City and overall I have to say it was a nice, fun activity.
Everything was laid out so nicely and I thought it was very quaint. The staff was very friendly and super helpful, my daughter really had fun making her awesome journal. She got to pick out the cover paper, decorations, and label to go on it. After that, we sat at a table, the staff member who helped us put together the book and BG1 got to decorate it and put her name on it. It was funny because we were all amazed at how well she wrote out her name, and even I didn’t know that her handwriting had improved so much!
It was a short trip though, since they only had one project for the kids to do (I was kind of expecting more activities), but I’m guessing they do a different activity at each event. It was pretty quick, and a great way to entertain your kids while you shop at Gap, if you’re in the mood for it. Either way, I like that my daughter got to join in on a creative art project and that we got to spend some quality time together. She enjoyed it and loved that she was able to make her own book and that everyone loved her handwriting!
For those of you interested, there’s still one more event happening in the Philadelphia area, next Saturday, so be sure to bring your kids out for a fun time.
