Keeper of the Lost Cities Blog Tour – 2012 Debuts Shannon Messenger Recommends & Giveaway

Yay! Thank you so much for letting me stop by! It’s been so much fun getting to hang out at all of these awesome blogs–it feels like I have TAKEN OVER THE INTERNETZ!!!!! #mwhahahahahaha

And I’ve been super excited about this post because I get to talk about other people’s awesome books instead of mine! (so much more fun!) They’ve asked me to talk about a few 2012 debuts that I’d recommend, and I’m going to take a *slightly* different approach to that.

Since I’ve been lost in the endless cycle of doom that was writing KEEPER #2 for the majority of this year I am SUPER behind on my reading. (My TBR Pile is officially OUT OF CONTROL). So instead of talking about a few debuts I’ve read and loved, because… well… I haven’t had time to read them. I’m going to talk about the ones that are at the top of my reading list now that KEEPER #2 is done and I sorta/kinda have time to read again!

TIME BETWEEN US, by Tamara Ireland Stone

I’ve been fortunate enough to meet Tamara a few times and she is a sweetheart. Pair that with the fact that I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this book and the killer cover and synopsis and yep, I’m sold. I can’t WAIT to read it.

If you’d like more info you can check it out on Goodreads HERE.

THE PECULIAR, by Stefan Bachmann

Okay, who doesn’t love this cover? I mean, SOLD–right there! Not to mention it’s described as “part murder mystery, part gothic fantasy, part steampunk adventure–what more does one need??????

If you’d like more info you can check it out on Goodreads HERE.

FALSE MEMORY, by Dan Krokos

I’ve had my eye on this book since I first read the premise. A little sci-fi, a little Bourne Identity, and it sounds super fast paced and action packed. Plus, if it’s even half as funny as Dan is on Twitter I will be a very happy girl.

If you’d like more info you can check it out on Goodreads HERE.

I could do this all day, but I’m pretty sure you guys would rather be reading awesome books like these than listening to me. So I will let you guys get back to that. And I will actually do the same. I happen to have copies of all of these staring at me from my TBR pile. Which to read first….

Happy reading everyone! Thank you so much for stopping by!

About the book:
Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit in. She’s not comfortable with her family and keeping a secret—she’s a telepath. But then she meets Fitz, who tells her the reason she has never felt at home is that, well, she isn’t. But Sophie still has secrets, and they’re buried deep in her memory for good reason: the answers are in high-demand. The truth could mean life or death, and time is running out.

About the Author:
SHANNON MESSENGER graduated from the USC School of Cinematic Arts where she learned that she liked watching movies much better than making them. She also regularly eats cupcakes for breakfast, sleeps with a bright blue stuffed elephant named Ella, and occasionally gets caught talking to imaginary people. So it was only natural for her to write stories for children. Keeper of the Lost Cities is her first middle grade novel. Let the Sky Fall, a young adult novel, will follow in Spring 2013. She lives in Southern California with her husband and an embarrassing number of cats.
